How about a fun little gift to surprise your friends and family with on St. Patrick's Day! This is another project that my stampers made in my St. Patrick's Day Treat Holder Class. Scroll down to the supply list to see the dimensions for the box and how to make the pot.
The top edge of the pot is a strip of card stock 1/4" wide. You glue it on to the top edge and then hand cut the angle with your scissors. I got the idea for this project from fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Lisa Young. I just updated the project using current supplies. You can see Lisa's original here. I added the shamrock using the heart framelits and the Bird Builder Punch.
Here is a "cheat sheet" that I put together for the gals in my classes to use when they were building their "pots". This also shows how I made the shamrock.
The box that Lisa designed is mounted flush to the top of the box – the circles that form the front and back of the "pot" are what hold up this container – so sticky strip is your friend for this project! The lower part of the box is filled with black paper shreddie and the chocolate coins are on top.
Wishing you all the luck of the Irish today! To pick up any of these supplies go to the store here for a "wee bit o' shoppin'!".
