I had a request for instructions for this gift I created for my warm and wonderful Stampfield Stars team members who were attending the Stampin' Up! OnStage conference in April. I made this accordion pocket file out of a paper folder with pockets and….
…this sweet little apron box with some Tic Tac gum inside. Directions are below!
Inside the first two pockets I had a post it note pad (I used leftover parts of the folder to make a cover for it – dimensions are below) and a shopping list (one of the perks of being a team member is getting to buy new products before they are available to the public!).
The last two pockets held a chocolate bar (have to have chocolate!!), some note paper, a note from me reminding them how fabulous they are, and a team ribbon for their conference badge!
Here are some of my Stampfield Stars team members who attended with me and received this gift. We had such a fabulous time swapping, watching demonstrations, making projects, and learning new stamping techniques! I am so blessed to associate with this group of fantastic, upbeat, crafters!!
The special Stampin' Up! 30 year folders are available from Stampin' Up! for North American demonstrators to purchase – I send them to all of my new demonstrator members with their info about our team. Here is how I altered the folder to make the accordion folder. First I cut down the folder to 7 1/8” and saved what I cut off for the label and the logo. Then I scored at 4 1/2” in from each end and accordion folded. I used tear and tape to adhere the center together. The post it holder was the leftover bit with the flowers cut to 3 1/4” wide by 9” long with the score at 4 1/2”. I used two 10” ribbons for the tie closure and I punched holes to attach them.
To make the apron box I used the Apron Builder Framelits and the now retired Lovely Friends stamp set for flowers. Ink colors: Night of Navy (stamped off for 1st flower step), Calypso Coral and Real Red for smaller flower two step, Old Olive for leaves).
To make the box, cut two aprons from Whisper White card stock (you can cut both at the same time in the Big Shot if you are using regular Whisper White card stock, not Thick).
Adhere aprons to the box with Tear & Tape.
Box: Cardstock Size 2 ¾” x 3 ¼” -
With the 3 ¼” side at the top of the scoring tool, score at ¾” and 2 ½”.
Rotate so the 2 ¾” side is at the top of the scoring tool, score at 1” and 1 ¾”.
Cut out the squares top center and bottom center. Assemble with Tear & Tape.
This OnStage conference was extra special because Stampin' Up! asked me to present – what an honor! Here I am with Stampin' Up! employee Shannon West who was our Demonstrator Trainer for the event.
