Welcome to our Creative Inking Blog Hop! We had two themes to choose from this month, either the new Product Coordination products that are available to purchase now, OR a sneak peek at the new Sale-a-bration items that are coming out on March 3rd! I'm excited to share a super fun fold card called a "Spanner Panel Three Layer Card" using the FREE Sale-a-bration Happy Birthday To You stamp set and the NEW matching Birthday Dies which are available to purchase right now as part of the Product Coordination! I have a video tutorial and a free downloadable PDF tutorial for you today!
Front Layer. It's hard to see it in the photo, but there is a window sheet strip that connects the two end panels forming the 1st layer.
Second Layer. You can see the window sheet better in this photo on the open top layer. The word Celebrate is stamped in Soft Suede ink and layered on the panel embossed with the beautiful Parisian Flourish embossing folder.
3rd Layer. The perfect place to add your greeting!
The coloring on the cake was simple – I used a sponge dauber and the Petal Pink ink pad to sponge color in the center of the flowers, gently working outward to get the lights and darks. For the leaves I used the Watercolor Pencils (Old Olive) and the Blender Pen. A few basic pearls add a finishing touch to the flowers.
The pretty Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper has Champagne Foil accents in some of the designs, like the script in this pattern. So I used the Champagne Foil Sheets to die cut the cake plate for the cake – love the shine! The Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic Edge Ribbon is tied in a simple knot and attached to the base of the cake plate with a single glue dot. This fun fold was inspired by a Christmas card that fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Laura Seki shared on the Stampin' Up! exclusive Demonstrator only Facebook group.
In this Facebook Live video I walk you through this fun card (and I share a few other versions as well). I hope you give this fun fold card a try! I have a free PDF Tutorial for you below!

Edited to add on 3/25: In the video above I show a mini version of the card, here are the dimensions. The card is 3" x 4" when closed. There is supposed to be a small pearl as the dot for the letter i. It must have fallen off when I took the photo!
The mini card is 4" x 6", scored at 3". Then cut at 1" up to the score line and stop. Then cut up on the 3" mark and stop. That will form two end panels, 1" wide. The Designer Paper is 3/4" x 2 3/4" for each end panel, and for the inside. The Designer Paper on the center panel is 1 3/4" x 2 3/4". The Window Sheet piece on the mini card is 1" x 3".
