This creative fold was from the November 2022 Suestampfield Crafternoon Creative Escape. The unique Double Faux Step Fold card folds flat to fit in a standard envelope and stands for display!
Are you looking for new and unique fun fold card ideas? I have eight amazing cards to share with you today! All of these cards are part of the Suestampfield November Crafternoon Creative Escape. Each month I design a fun fold and then make many different designs using that fold. The featured fun fold for November was the Double Faux Step Fold card. I have a step by step video for you at the bottom of this post on how to assemble this style of fun fold card. I also have an option to purchase a detailed step-by-step tutorial bundle for ALL of the projects shown in this blog post.
Bonus Valentine Card!
Because this tutorial bundle was delayed due to the holidays, I added this lovely bonus Valentine card in to the tutorial. This gorgeous Valentine card features products from the new Stampin’ Up! January – April Mini Catalog, including the beautiful Country Bouquet bundle, the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper, and the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder – stunning!
The card stands for display so that the lucky person that you send this card to can display your artwork for all to admire! What a beautiful way to let friends and family know that you care for them!
This version uses a different pattern from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper- and it is equally gorgeous! Which version do you like best?
This card was designed especially for my Stampfield Stars direct team members! In December I sent them this Christmas gift – a package of Heart Pearls – and these were the tags that went on the package. I wanted to create a card design for them so that they could recycle the tag and turn it into a card – the Double Faux Step Fold card was the perfect place to display the tag!
A Hidden Gem!
Have you discovered the elegant Designer Tag Dies from the annual catalog?! They are a hidden gem on page 170, and they make the most stunning cards!! This card is simple elegance with Very Vanilla, Gold Foil paper, and Basic Pearls. This version has a birthday sentiment inside, but it is also perfect for weddings and anniversaries.
The Gold & Vanilla 3/8″ Satin Edged ribbon adds the finishing touch! The card also features the Charming Sentiments bundle embossed in gold for maximum effect! The tutorial bundle walks you through, step by step, how to make this card, including how to heat emboss the gold sentiments.
Here is the side view of the card and a peek at the inside. What a pretty way to decorate your home with these gorgeous standing cards!
Say “Hello” to the Long Legged Gnome Double Faux Step Fold Cards!
Have you tried making your gnome dies taller?! I walk you through how to do it in the step by step tutorials! Normally I do 5 designs for Crafternoon. However, I got a bit carried aways with this fold and made a total of 8 cards for the tutorial bundle using this same Double Faux Step Card style of fun fold! I made three of the cards with a cheerful, long legged gnome on the front! These cards are sure to bring a smile to the lucky recipient. This first version is an adorable Valentine card. The Gnome dies make it so easy!
This card also features the Love You More Than dies, the Teacup dies (hearts), the In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper 2022-2024 (Sweet Sorbet), the Heart Punch Pack, and, of course, the adorable Heart Pearls.
The long legged gnome is perfect for birthday cards! This version is in Tahitian Tide tones and features the now retired Celebrate With Tags bundle. This project was also created with the Gnome dies, the In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper 2022-2024 (Tahitian Tide), the 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper adds a bit of sparkle, and, once again, the adorable Heart Pearls. All of the details are in the step-by-step Tutorial Bundle.
Ready for one more long legged gnome? I hope so…
This jolly Christmas gnome would like a moment in the spotlight! This cute version features the retired Sweetest Christmas Designer Series paper and the retired Framed & Festive stamp set, and, of course, the Gnome dies. The Red Rhinestones add the perfect bit of “bling”!
Are you ready for MORE Double Faux Step Fold cards?
This adorable Double Faux Step Fold card was created with the now retired Snowman Magic bundle. So cute!
The embossing folder is from the Annual Catalog, it is the snowflake pattern from the Wintry 3D embossing folders! I love a navy and white card, and this one has the fun pop of red that makes it extra cute.
More Navy and White but this time, it’s so elegant!
This Double Faux Step Fold card features the retired Peace To You and the Hope & Peace stamp sets. This stamp set works best with the Stampartus so the tutorial bundle includes step-by-step details on how to use that amazing tool.
These projects were from the November Virtual Crafternoon class, so our make-n-take was a Christmas theme!
The retired Sweet Candy Canes bundle and the retired Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper made the darling Make-n-Take project for the November Crafternoon. Some people received the red and green version above…
And some received the red & white version – both are darling!
It’s easy to join the virtual monthly Crafternoon event – I hope you join us next month!
