New! One In A Million Fun Fold Cards from June Crafternoon

A very, very special fun fold card! Five gorgeous One In A Million Fun Fold cards in this post – both vertical and horizontal styles.

Every month I create a unique fun fold to share with you – and in June that fold is extra special. Many, many of my viewers asked for this special fold, and here it is! These over-the-top cards are perfect for special celebrations and special people. They are exquisitely decorated and each card stands for display. Pictured above is one of the unique One In A Million fun fold cards in the horizontal design. When you open the card…

Inside of the card is a center tab with nested die cuts that fans out for display. The inside cover, inside back cover, front, and back of the center die cuts are ALL decorated making this a WOW card! The center panel uses the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper and the inside front cover and inside back cover have pieces of the new Season of Green & Gold Designer Series Paper (which is coming out on July 3rd).

On the back of the center tab there is another Countryside Corner die to write your greeting and to sign the card. You could also add another sentiment to this panel if you would like to. The decorative inside die cuts are a combination of the Translucent Floral dies (the small daisy-like flowers) and the Golden Greenery dies (coming out on July 3rd). I also used a panel embossed with the Dashing Designs Embossing Folder.

The perfect card to show off your beautiful die cuts while you wow your friends and family!

The front of the card features more of the Countryside Corner dies ( I used them on ALL the versions), more of the Golden Greenery die cuts, and the Translucent Floral dies. The flower is layers of Bubble Bath cardstock and the new Graceful Greenery Vellum (coming out on July 3rd). In this blog post I have a purchasable PDF tutorial with step-by-step photos and instructions on how to make all the versions, including instructions on how to make the vertical version of this type of fun fold card.

A Million reasons to celebrate!

The One In A Million fun fold card was inspired by the special card that Stampin’ Up! sent to me in May when I reached my $1,000,000 sales milestone as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. The card that they created is one of the MOST beautiful cards that I have ever seen! You can check out a short video of me sharing the card right after I received it HERE – I was STUNNED!

I was so happy to be recognized for being the 78th demonstrator to reach their 1 million career-to-date sales milestone! It’s an extremely rare accomplishment achieved by less than 1% of demonstrators. When I was getting close to reaching this milestone, one of the Stampin’ Up! designers called me and asked what style of card I liked the best so that they could make me a custom card that I would love. I told her I loved florals, elegant cards with lots of white space, lots of die cuts, and designer series paper. WOW! They knocked it out of the park! And they sent me this gorgeous floral arrangement too!

The card that Stampin’ Up! sent me was LARGE and had over 70 layers and die cuts – stunning! They even created a custom envelope and a customized bellyband. Many of my viewers asked if I could recreate this fold to fit in a standard A2 envelope. Mission accomplished!

Yes, the One In A Million Fun Fold Cards fit in an A2 envelope!

The finished size of the card when closed is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and it easily fits in an A2 envelope.

Of course, once I got started creating the One In A Million fun fold cards, I just could not stop! This horizontal version includes LOTS of the Golden Greenery bundle, the Season of Green & Gold Designer Series Paper, and the Gold Mercury Vellum. These brand new products are coming out in the new Online Exclusives from Stampin’ Up!, which will be available to purchase on July 3rd.

The Season of Green & Gold Designer Series Paper has many images that match the Golden Greenery dies, so they can be die cut and used to decorate your cards! The sentiments on this card and the oval die cut inside are from the Greetings of the Season bundle, also coming out on July 3rd.

The two-step stamps in the Golden Greenery bundle make the most gorgeous greenery! The colors of Soft Sea Foam and Mossy Meadow were totally inspired by the Stampin’ Up! card. The Gold Mercury Vellum is stunning – I share my tricks for adhering it in the step-by-step tutorial.

The sentiments are embossed with gold embossing powder and the embellishments are the often overlooked Iridescent Foil Gems in the annual catalog.

The vertical version is equally stunning!

This vertical version of the One In A Million Fun Fold Card was the make and take for the June Crafternoon Creative Escape. Customers who placed a product order of $50 in my Stampin’ Up! online store before tax and shipping in May received the packet in June to make this card along with me in the video tutorial.

Our make-n-take project packet featured the beautiful Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper and the gorgeous dies from the Thoughtful Wishes bundle. This fun fold is easy to make, and the decorating possibilities are endless! I love making these cards with crisp clean white space and then going to town decorating it with beautiful dies! This is just one of the three vertical versions in this tutorial.

One of the best features of this fold is the ability to decorate your card in so many areas. When I received the card from Stampin’ Up!, I was delighted that every section of the card revealed more delights! So I wanted to replicate that in these “mini” versions. Hopefully the “extras” on this fun fold will bring lots of delight to the special people that you send these cards to.

I used two different patterns for the packets, the one pictured above shows the other patterns I used – so pretty!

Would you like to see more vertical One In A Million Cards? I hope so!

Another sneak peek! This adorable Sophisticated Sled bundle is coming out on July 3rd as part of the new online exclusives. Making this card brought back such fond memories of skating and sledding in my childhood!

The dies are delightful and the skates are very cleverly designed so that adding the laces is super easy and the end result is amazing! In the step-by-step tutorial I have all the details. The So Swirly Embossing Folder is in the annual catalog – isn’t it the perfect “snow” for this card?? I used the Country Woods Designer Series Paper both for the sled and the inside panel. Perfect! The sentiment I used below is from the new Greetings of the Season stamp set which is also coming out on July 3rd.

Inspiring Snapdragons bundle makes a beautiful One In A Million fun fold card!

This card is “Pretty In Pink” with the Inspiring Snapdragons bundle. Add in a bit of sparkle with the Iridescent Faceted Gems for the perfect extra touch of shine! The greeting stamp and beautiful oval are from the Unbounded Love bundle.

It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the dragonflies have Wink of Stella on them to make them extra shimmery! I stamped the dragonfly with a method called the “rock ‘n roll technique”. You ink up the solid stamp image in a light color, then you roll the edges of the stamp in a darker color. I walk you through the process in the step-by-step tutorial.

In these “top down views” you can see how the card is constructed.

The horizontal version has completely different measurements than the vertical version, but they end up with the same general construction. In the step-by-step tutorial I have a section on how to make the bases for both the vertical and horizontal style, and all of the directions for each version.
